Rotter i kloaksystemet behøver ikke længere udgøre en tikkende bombe under fødevarevirksomheder, følsomme produktionsvirksomheder eller vores private hjem. Ratél har udviklet en mekanisk rottefælde, der gør det muligt at afspærre fuldstændig for rotters adgang til bestemte dele af kloaksystemet samtidig med, at indtrængende rotter aflives. Det skaber mulighed for en helt ny og langt mere strategisk tilgang til rottebekæmpelse end tidligere.

System Overview RatTrap

Ratéls mekaniske rottefælde monteres i kloakfældens spildevandsafløb. Fælden er robust konstrueret til at fungere i kloakmiljøet. Den er nem at montere fra jordniveau. Rotterne kan ikke passere fælden, men ledes op i et aflivningskammer, hvor de aflives humant ved hjælp af et CO2 drevet stempel. Efter aflivningen skylles rotterne ud med spildevandet. Samme fælde kan anvendes til forskellige dimensioner kloakrør.

The use of a CO2 powered piston to kill rats is far more humane and environmentally friendly than the use of poison. Furthermore, problems of resistance are avoided, which otherwise can have fatal consequences for the control in a given area, because the toxins used may lose their intended effect.

Likewise, the trap also acts as a rat barrier, which means that rats cannot under any circumstances gain access to the parts of the sewer system where the traps are installed. This is also the case if a malfunction should occur. The flaps of the trap are made of fiberglass, just as the built-in lock means that the rats cannot lift them.

The trap can be mounted, operated and dismantled from the surface without anyone having to descend into the sewer and does not block the flow of waste water.

The story of Ratél

Ratél was founded in November 2010. Since then, the company has developed 2 sewer traps, the most recent of which was launched with a completely new concept in December 2017. Ratél also deleiveres the innovative Thiim rat block.

Today, Ratél ApS is owned by a number of innovative companies that work with both electronics, mechanics and general business development - a strong circle of leaders who have the courage to further develop products within green rat control.

Our traps are mechanical rat traps, which are easy to use and which can be easily adapted to the different sizes of sewer pipes. Mechanical sewage rat trap

Of Ratel’s patented products, the mechanical sewage rat trap, is a rat trap that is installed directly in the sewer system. Entering the trap, the rats are led through a chamber leading to the killing unit. In the killing unit you find a flap. When the rat touches the flap with its head – a piston is released with great force. The piston will hit the rat in the neck – and the rat will die immediately.

The piston is driven by a CO2 canister under high pressure. Then the trap drains itself, placing the dead rat at the bottom of the sewer pipe and subsequently rinsing it out with the wastewater.

Rat Block

Rats in the sewer system no longer need to be a threat to food companies, sensitive production companies or our private homes. Christian Thiim has developed a mechanical rat trap that allows us to block the rat’s access to chosen parts of the sewer system – as well as killing rats trying to re-enter this part of the system.

Ratéls rat block is made of stainless steel and is designed so that the wastewater can easily pass in the flow direction, but that rats can’t move past the block in the opposite direction. This is achieved by using double flaps, which are locked together by with a patented locking mechanism.

Which rat trap products will help you?

The different products Ratél has developed to catch rats, are all non-toxic and can be used close to homes and playgrounds. It gives a high level of safety, as the rats die in mechcanical traps, and no children will or can be harmed.  The mechcanical sewer traps are very effecient in cityies and rural areas. All the trap types send data to RatelCom, an app that moniters how effecient each trap is.
