mechanical rat block
The Thiim Rat Block, which has been on the market since 2008, is manufactured from acid-resistant stainless steel and designed to allow wastewater to flow unimpeded in the drainage direction, while preventing rats from passing the rat block in the opposite direction.
This is achieved using double flaps that lock together via patented locking mechanisms.
The Thiim Rat Block is available in sizes ranging from Ø110 to Ø300.
How the rat block works
Installation is easily performed from the surface using an installation head and extension rods.
By attaching a flap tester to the installation head, the rat block can be installed and the flap's movement tested in a single operation.
The rat block can be positioned at either the inlet or the outlet by repositioning the installation components.
